César Díaz

César Díaz was born in Guatemala in 1978. After studying in Mexico and Belgium, he joined the screenwriting workshop of La Fémis in Paris.

For more than ten years, he has been editing fiction and documentaries. He has also directed the short documentaries Semillas de Cenizas, which was screened in some twenty international festivals, and Territorio Liberado, winner of the IMCINE prize in Mexico. Nuestras Madres, selected at the 58th Critics’ Week, is his first feature film.
